| As
per common behaviour, this is the obligatory "About Me" section of my
site. Thank you for the time you spend here. I do hope you enjoy and are mildly amused by the following tidbits of information and random insertions of humour. I am Lacy. My birthname differs, but I have always, since early childhood sentience, been Lacy. I greatly prefer to be referred to as Lacy, as opposed to said birthname. I was born on November 22, in the year one thousand nine hundred and seventy two, at approximately 6:05 pm, central standard time, on a Wednesday. My birthplace is Tuscaloosa, AL, and I still make my home here. I shall endeavor to relocate to Huntsville, AL, eventually, or an equally (or greater) science-oriented city someplace. Now, first we shall begin with my education history. As with any average and relatively normal worm-baby, I grew up in the usual elementary-through-highschool ritualistic manner, enjoying the typical rites of passage of that era. I found that period somewhat lackluster and unstimulating. I could oftimes be found reading or drawing. I excelled at the various science, art, language, literature classes in high school, enjoying the mathematics classes and finding them challenging, and having very little interest in history and economics classes. Ehhhhh. Science and art are more fun anyways . College. Oi. College was a treat. I attended Shelton State Community College. Tuscaloosa is home to the grand University of Alabama, yes, but the sheer size of that establishment was (and still is) daunting. The U of A is a beautiful campus that I enjoy walking around, driving, exploring. If you ever visit Tuscaloosa, please go see the U of A. There is a lot of history there and that wonderful "omg this place feels right" atmosphere...ya know, the kind of feeling that seeps into your soul and makes you happy. But I digress. A smaller community college was more my speed, offering a more personal atmosphere and more of the proverbial one-on-one professor-to-student environ, which I enjoy and find very conducive to higher learning. After exploring basic classes, art being one, naturally, I fell into Shelton's commercial art program. The commercial art professor was wonderful and she is still highly ranked as one of the few people who made an astounding difference in my life. Heck, I *still* hear her voice when I'm about to do something stupid. I graduated Shelton with a decent knowledge of the commercial art, advertising, design, and art industries, which I cherish and rely on daily. Oh and yeah, I've been drawing since I was wee itty bitty. On to employment. I currently have a day job. You may GO HERE to see what I do. I am involved in so many aspects of my day job...it is difficult to assign to me one particular title, duty, role, what-have-you. Ultimately, I'd claim the title "screen printing technician" and wear that label proudly. I like to think my daily endeavours at my day job are valuable and important. Now we get to discuss other intellectual endeavours and pursuits: I LOVE SPACE. I LOVE SCIENCE. I LOVE SAGAN. I LOVE HAWKING. I LOVE KRAUSS. I LOVE LOGIC. I LOVE REASON.. I LOVE STAR TREK I LOVE PHYSICS. I LOVE THEORETICAL PHYSICS. I LOVE CHEMISTRY. I LOVE ASTRONOMY. I LOVE GENETICS. I LOVE THEORETICAL GENETICS.. I LOVE BIOLOGY. I LOVE ZOOLOGY. I LOVE PSYCHOLOGY. I LOVE PHILOSOPHY. I LOVE LCROSS. I LOVE THE LHC. I LOVE EVOLUTION. I LOVE TACOS. I LOVE BACON. (huh? wait what...?) Time for daily family life. Being that I am female, and host a working uterus and ovaries, I created, with the assistance of a very intelligent and deeply cared for male human, a child. Said offspring is now just over ten years of age. Said offspring is equally intelligent and exhibits intellectual and personality characteristics of both his parents, most remarkably a mind is capable of thought and conceptualizations far beyond his years. In addition to intellect, said offspring nurtures a strong will and simple stubbornness. omg. stubbornness. period. and a propensity to argue -stop- every -stop- single -stop- point -stop- his -stop- mother -stop- attempts -stop- to -stop- make -stop- halp I birthed a mini-Lacy, in male format. Oooookays. But wait! There's MOAR! (yes, ai lapse into LOLspeek randomly. accept it and move along) With your website poking comes moar informashun for ur brainz! In addition to being a day-job-holding semi-professional female, I enjoy various and sundry activities and endeavours in the digital realm of the Second Life Virtual World. I own three sims, I am a content creator (ai maek pretty things and mildly disturbing creations ZOMG BUY THEM!). You can see my creations on my Virtual Creations section. To the Virtual section, AWAY! :3 I have awesome and amazing friends in the Second Life Virtual world and those bonds of friendship bleed over into physical life as well. You guys I cherish. Always. Ok, nuff sentimental stuffs. I can be found in-world in the Second Life Virtual World, with the name Lacy Musketeer. You may look me up there, incidentally, if you're that way inclined (if you get the popculture allusion here, catch me in-world and I'll give you a prize :3) So. Uhmmmm. If you'd like to know about my musical, television, and film interests, in lieu of me typing everything out right here, Ima make ya catch me and actually interact with me, in-world or in real life (I can be found on Skype, which I have grown to adore, as lacymusketeer), cuz, A. It is fun to get to know someone via social interaction and B. I am bored with typing . OH! I am a Qwhilla. In-world, and in real life. (well, not PHYSICALLY in real life, as we are limited to these homo sapien sapiens form, and sadly sans long ears and flooftails). Oh god I'd SOOOOOO love to be a flooftailed Qwhilla in physical life. That is all for nao. ~Lacy
